Micro Incision or Needle Phlebectomy

This procedure is used to remove bulging (varicose) or other veins very close to the skin. As an alternative to the various injection (sclerotherapy) techniques, it can avoid the dark discoloration (referred to as hyperpigmentation) sometimes associated with those treatments. Perfected by a French vascular surgeon, this procedure can be performed through needle punctures that avoid scarring and require minimal healing. Compression stockings are worn for approximately 5 days afterwards; return to activity is immediate.
